  1. I really like Son De Camaguey because of the sound of the song. It sounds very happy, which is more my type of song. I really like how the different parts come together, and how the “esta esta es”‘s come in at different parts.I also very much like the pitch change near the end. I look forward to singing this with everyone.

  3. All of these songs were amazing, but if I had to choose one, I’d choose “Stand Together” by Jim Papoulis. I simply chose this song because the singers sound amazing with the dynamics. In the other songs like “Siyahamba” by Anders Nyberg, which is my second favorite, has great singers and it sounds amazing, but I believe there was too little dynamics added compared to “Stand Together.” All songs were great, most of them had more to offer like the amount of singers in “Siyahamba” and the piano in “stand together.” All songs were great, but in all my honesty, I really enjoyed “Stand Together.”

  4. Out of the selection of songs my favorite has to be Stand Together. What I really love about the song is the sense of unity. The big chorus together just radiates a sense of warmth and wholeness. The different parts blend so nicely together and I can envision our choir singing it perfectly with all the intricate harmonies. The song has such a sweet meaning that I just really love. I’m really excited to start this song and hear it come together.

  5. I’d have to say that Son de Camaguey is my favorite! I love how, in the first part, although everyone is singing something different, it still sounds pretty. It’s an upbeat and pretty song, and I can’t wait for us to finish learning it because it’s going to sound beautiful. As Cheyenne said at one point, “we sound like the little birds from the movie Rio!” I thought that was kinda funny. Also, there’s this one part where everyone just says “no no no no” for a few measures and I feel like i can really relate to that.

  6. My favorite of the songs is definitely son de Camaguey. The counter melodies are just to amazing and strong. However the lyrics could be better, Mabye in German that would be a little better, but the song is just great how it builds with more and more melodies. I also very much enjoy the musical accompaniment that joins the voices. MUY MAGNIFICO

  7. i really liked Son de Camaguey because even tho its in a diferent language, it just sounds so upbeat and fun. The way it was sung was so cool and i really look forward to singing this in class.
